These 40mm shepherd castors have been manufactured by Kenrick since 1948. They are a very common castor used within the upholstery trade to give a traditional look. These Shepherd castors have a thorn pin fitting and the metal ball castor gives a 300KG load per set or 4. (manufactured in the UK) When replacing Shepherd castors These are genuine Kenrick Shepherd castors, (we do also sell a cost effective alternative) They are very well made and suitable for traditional style furniture. These have a cir-clip thorn pin fitting and the sockets are different to normal grip neck sockets, so please keep this in mind if you are replacing a normal castor with a genuine Kenrick shepherd thorn pin fitting castor in your furniture as these will NOT fit in the socket.
